2022 World Industrial Design Conference (WIDC2022) was grandly held on November 11-13 in Yantai, Shandong Province, China. The global event was hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the People’s Government of Shandong Province and supported by Global Design Industry Organization (GDIO). Taking “Design·Chain of Future Industry” as the theme, the WIDC2022 has attracted design organizations, institutions, enterprises, universities and colleges from over 50 countries and regions
At the Opening Ceremony, GDIO members delivered their online keynote speeches to extend their best wishes to WIDC2022. China Excellent Industrial Design (CEID) Award Ceremony was also held during the Conference with 59 winners of Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards. CEID is the only national award approved by the central government in China's industrial design field, with the aim of promoting the high-quality development of China's industrial design as well as displaying outstanding achievements with original design and advanced design concepts.
The Partners of Yantai, Build a City of Design Appointment Ceremony was also released to introduce a group of experts in industrial design and related innovation fields to share their advice and suggestions for the future design of Yantai.
During the Conference, the WIDC Speeches, CEID Exhibition, WIDC2022 Forums, the Gala Night of designers and other WIDC2022 activities were also held. Ho Chi Minh City Design Association is very honored to have the representative of Ms. Ngo Thi Thu Trang - Vice President of the Association attend the program through the Keynote Presentation on how to use design and expand design thinking in order to build up and boost a healthier future industry and economy after a long period of depression.
The WIDC2022 has provided a platform for international exchanges and cooperation to explore the innovative thinking to build a community with a shared future for mankind, a world of lasting peace, environmental protection, common prosperity, and openness and inclusiveness, as well as to create a better future for human beings.
