"FLOWERS ON STONE" – Lê Minh Long

The collection "Flowers on Stone" is inspired by the characters Mị and A Phủ in the literary work "Vợ chồng A Phủ" (A Phủ and His Wife) by writer Tô Hoài. With a deep love for the story as well as the nature and people of the Northwest region, the collection reflects the designer’s personal perspective on Mị and A Phủ. It honors the noble qualities of the two protagonists, while conveying a message of resilience, the strong will to overcome oppression and exploitation by the ruling class, and the yearning for a life of freedom.
