Dr. Jaksa Nikodijevic
Lecturer at Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts
Jaksa Nikodijevic is an architect, and lecturer based in Shanghai, China, and a partner of Aleatek Studio. A multi-award-winning architect, his work spans public buildings, offices, mixed-use developments, environmental design, and urban planning, with built projects across Asia and Europe. A former publicist, he has dedicated his career to bridging cultures through design and academia, fostering dialogue between continents. His practice merges architectural innovation with narrative-driven experiences, exemplified by his role as the author of the Serbian Pavilion at Osaka Expo 2025 and his leadership in Themed Design and Media in Spatial Design—a discipline that explores how design shapes immersive experiences. Balancing design practice, cultural exchange, and spatial experimentation, Jaksa’s projects range from large-scale urban interventions to intimate installations, all unified by a commitment to redefining how environments engage with users. He continues to contribute to architectural discourse through lectures, workshops, and advisory roles, advocating for design as a tool for connection and transformation.
In today’s digital era, where artificial intelligence is reshaping the way we design, create, and live, the talkshow “Sust-AI-nability” invites participants to embark on a journey exploring the intersection of AI, fashion, and space.
This session will address key questions:
-
How can AI evolve beyond a tool of efficiency to become a true creative partner in design, generating entirely new aesthetic possibilities?
-
In what ways can fashion transcend physical limitations and expand into the digital space?
-
How might the synergy between technology and human sensitivity define the path toward a sustainable future of design?
Through case studies and international projects, Dr. Jaksa Nikodijevic will illustrate how AI is weaving a new design language — one that redefines beauty, functionality, and user experience. The talkshow will also examine how to ensure that creativity remains deeply human-centered in the age of technology.
It will be a rare opportunity for designers, students, and creative minds to engage in dialogue, challenge perspectives, and seek solutions to a critical question: how do we harness AI’s potential while preserving sustainability and cultural identity in fashion and spatial design?
