“SOUL OF SILK” – Đỗ Thùy Vân Trang

The collection “Soul of Silk” is inspired by my personal perspective on the life cycle of the silkworm through an emotional lens. I am deeply fascinated by the image of the silkworm – a tiny creature that carries within itself a journey of sacrifice, silently devoting its entire life to creating a precious material: silk. This image reminds me of my own profession in fashion design, which also demands creativity, meticulousness, dedication, and sacrifice to bring beauty to life.

Each stage of its life cycle – from the eggs, to feeding and storing energy, to spinning silk, dissolving itself, and finally transforming into a moth – is a series of silent sacrifices. And I want to rewrite that journey through fabric, through cuts, through forms, and through the very breath of fashion.
