VDAS GLOBAL DESIGN CITIZENS

Every journey brings new connections and helps Vietnamese designers become true global citizens

The VDAS Design Association – HCMC, Vietnam – #GlobalDesignCitizens program was launched after Covid, with nearly 20 international trips supporting Vietnamese designers to expand knowledge and connect with the global creative community. The program is supported by government agencies, associations, and universities worldwide.

The Shanghai trip in August 2025 was a great success with the participation of lecturers and outstanding young designers, including valedictorians and salutatorians from Fashion and Interior Design majors:

• Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education

• Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Arts

• Young Interior Designers from #KINGSMENGroup

Special thanks to the Deans – Mr. Tra Nguyen (HCMUTE), Ms. Dieu Huyen Nguyen (HUIFA), Design Manager Phuong Nguyen and 14 members for joining the Shanghai journey, which included a 3-day program:

• Attending #IntertextileShanghai 2025 with the support of #MesseFrankfurt – Germany

• Visiting #DETAO Group Masters Academy, an international partnership with Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts (SIVA), connected by Prof. Jaksa Nikodijevic, jury member of VMARK Award.
